Biography

Gail Belsky is an editorial consultant and writer, and an adjunct professor of journalism at Fordham University. She is the author of The List: 100 Ways to Shake up Your Life (Seal Press, 2009), and the editor of Over the Hill and Between the Sheets: Sex, Love and Lust in Middle Age (Springboard Press, 2008). Belsky has written for such diverse websites and publications as Moneywatch.com, Health.com, Prevention.com, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Parents magazine, and American Baby magazine. She also contributed an essay to the collection, The Imperfect Mom: Candid Confessions of Mothers Living in the Real World (Broadway, 2006).

As a consultant, Belsky helped develop an enthusiast magazine, Racing Fan, for Time Inc., and worked on the launch of Time Inc.’s women’s magazine, All You. She consulted on the 2002 re-launch of Working Mother, later serving as executive editor. She was also an executive editor in Time Inc.'s custom publishing division and a senior editor at Parents. Before that, Belsky helped launch Selling magazine, and served as its executive managing editor. The magazine was nominated for a National Magazine Award in General Excellence.

Belsky lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
